In our four-year curriculum, veterinary practitioners learn active involvement in veterinary and patient care. Under the guidance of veterinarians and technicians, veterinary assistants work on cleaning kennels, examination rooms and direct animal care by feeding, bathing and moving. They are responsible for monitoring the general health of the animals being cared for at THHS, providing support for weekly spaying / neutering and administering daily medication and heartworm tests.
