URBANA Bond has been set at $50,000 for an Urbana man arrested Friday night in connection with an armed robbery. Sammy Boykins, 17, who listed an address in the 2700 block of East Illinois Street, Urbana, pleaded innocent Monday to two counts of felony armed robbery. read more

URBANA An Urbana man is being held at the Champaign County Jail in connection with an armed robbery on Friday night. According to a police report, a 26-year-old Urbana man and an 18-year-old Urbana man reported being robbed at gunpoint in a parking lot in the 1500 block of East Washington Street, Urbana, at 10:45 p.m. The robber reportedly took cash, a cell phone and video accessories. read more

She's volunteering a year of her time with the Working Boys' Center in Quito, Ecuador. "I always had plans for this," Meyers said. "I wanted to do long-term volunteer work."
